Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage captive collateral requirements.
- Integrate year-end audits and complete ICS audit confirmations.
- Prepare and recommend distribution amounts for captives.
- Reconcile ICS reimbursable accounts and corporate credit cards.
- Negotiate pricing with financial partners (audit, tax, actuary, captive management, banking).
- Enhance monthly bank statement reconciliations and accruals for captive managers.
Management Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the team, including hiring, coaching, performance feedback, and career development.
- Manage timesheets, PTO/RTO requests, and compensation decisions.
- Facilitate team meetings and attend training sessions.
- Coordinate initial and ongoing training.
- Support and maintain standardized processes.
- Provide backup assistance as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Compile and review fiscal year-end and interim financial statements.
- Prepare budgets and financial projections.
- Monitor cash and investment balances.
- Generate special financial reports.
- Track and implement new accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise the ICS Financial Analyst team.
- Develop and analyze submissions for captive feasibility studies.
- Oversee captive management on the consulting platform.
- Track and report on captive assessments and sharing.
- Present financial information to Captive Boards and Committees.
- Handle special projects as requested.
Skills & Abilities:
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Discretion in confidential matters and independent judgment.
- Proficient in EXCEL, WORD, and other accounting software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks during peak periods.
- Commitment to continuing education and relevant designations.
- Physical ability to exert minimal force occasionally.
- Knowledge of HMA’s Client Privacy Policy, HIPAA, and E&O procedures.
- Occasional overnight travel may be required.
Qualifications:
- Education: Accounting degree; CPA or CFA preferred.
- Experience: 5-7 years in accounting, preferably in insurance; offshore banking experience a plus. Management experience preferred.
