Card blocks and carousels are both used frequently across the site in a few different variations.
Card Block
Card blocks are used frequently across the site, and they come with a decent level of flexibility. The content modeling is split into two sections: Block Fields and Cards.
The block fields control block level options, such as color theming, background image, background image placement, headline, and CTA field.
The cards provide different options specific to the cards themselves. You can start by choosing the style of cards based on 3 options: marketing, article, and job listing. Nine times out of ten you’ll likely be looking to use the Marketing variation. These provide you with media options for image and video, a card title, description, and CTA.
The blocker themer controls the background color of the block. The cards will automatically follow a color scheme in their highlighted text and CTA.

Carousel blocks can have few variations and the content modeling will adjust slightly based on what option is selected. The most common use of a carousel seen currently would be the Quote carousel type. This will give you a quote field, author field, and image. For the quote block you also have the choice between two different media types: “Generic” and “Employee”. With the employee variation it is recommended that you use a transparent PNG.
