Company leases second office space in vibrant, newly refurbished Arcadia building in West Des Moines
Due to the company’s exceptional growth, Holmes Murphy, one of the nation’s largest independent insurance brokerages, is excited to announce its expansion into a second location in the Des Moines-metro area. The company officially signed a lease for space in the Arcadia building located at 7000 Vista Drive in West Des Moines.
“Our Waukee office is experiencing substantial growth at a rate we can no longer sustain in our current building. This is a great problem to have, and we certainly aren’t complaining. In fact, we’re celebrating that we’re able to continually recruit and retain the best employees in the business to be able to serve and care for our clients,” said Dan Keough, Holmes Murphy Chairman & CEO. “That said, we knew we needed to strategically think about the next step for our future. We explored all options, and ultimately, made the decision to lease a second space in the Des Moines metro.”
The Arcadia building is a newly refurbished, 270,000 square foot building in the Country Club Office Plaza and has excellent access and great visibility along Jordan Creek Parkway. Holmes Murphy will occupy approximately 75,000 square feet of the space.
“The building has amenities and features that fit our culture and unique aesthetic vibe, areas to collaborate and connect, additional meeting and training rooms, and added room for employees to work more efficiently and effectively without space constraints,” said Keough.
Holmes Murphy’s office building located at 2727 Grand Prairie Parkway in Waukee will remain the company’s headquarters. The company says this second location is meant to help accommodate and guide its growth for the next several years.
“We are simply growing at a pace that exceeds our ability to match it within the space we have now,” said Keough. “Having an additional location will allow for our Waukee headquarters to be used in the manner in which we had always intended — to be open and spacious and to have several collaboration areas in which our employees can truly connect and do their best work.”
Holmes Murphy will join ITA Group as tenants in the Arcadia building. The anticipated move date for a portion of Holmes Murphy’s Waukee staff is Fall 2025.
